Chesham is a market town and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, 11 miles south-east of the county town of Aylesbury, about 26 miles north-west of central London, and part of the London commuter belt. It is in the Chess Valley, surrounded by farmland. Chesham is part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are many rural walking and cycling paths, including routes leading to Amersham and Great Missenden.
Chartridge Lane runs north west from the town centre. The house is on the north side at its junction with DeVere Close in a peaceful residential area.
The M25 motorway is approximately 20 minutes by car (11 miles), providing access to the M1 to the north and the M40 to the west. The A41 is within 15 minutes' drive (eight miles) offering a direct route towards London and Aylesbury. Chartridge Lane connects directly to Chesham town and also gives easy access to Amersham and Great Missenden.
Chesham Underground Station is about five minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. This station is on the Metropolitan Line, with direct trains to London. Amersham Station is within 10 minutes by car, offering both Metropolitan Line services and Chiltern Railways services with faster journeys to London Marylebone in around 35 minutes.
Heathrow Airport is about 25 miles away, a 35 to 45 minute drive via the M25. Luton Airport is approximately 25 miles distant, around a 40 minutes drive, via the M1.
