Local information
Aberdeen is the principal administrative centre in North East Scotland. The city benefits from excellent transport links including an international airport and heliport, main line railway station (LNER and Scot Rail) and the A90 road link both north and south. The harbour serves the North Sea oil and gas industry and a ferry port providing passenger and freight services to the northern isles.
The city has a population of around 230,000 and has two universities and the North East Scotland College. Victoria Street is located Waverley Place and Carden Place and is a popular residential and mixed use area. Union Street is located less than half a mile away.
