    Description

A substantial and historic former School which sits within 55 acres of mature grounds and circa 150,738 sq ft of buildings.

Kilgraston House and grounds are accessed through an impressive, Category B listed, stone archway, with coach houses on either side, one of which is also Category B listed. There is a long driveway leading to Kilgraston House. Avenues of mature trees line either side of the driveway and it is further flanked by large open fields previously used for grazing.

It is constructed of red brick and the architecture is primarily Adam style classic, with a variety of gothic and other unusual details included. A number of modern extensions have been added to Kilgraston House over the years to create teaching space, dormitory rooms and other facilities associated with the school.

A chapel and a theatre space are attached to the main building. The former Stable Block is Category B listed and was most recently used as the junior school. The modern science block was constructed in 2013. There are 106 student bedrooms plus 30 bedrooms for staff housed within the main school buildings.
