Local information
The development site is accessed on the eastern side of Woone Lane via the recently completed Primrose Walk residential development, on retained land between no.105 and no.107 Woone Lane, close to the junction with Victoria Street.
The land lies adjacent to Primrose Nature Reserve and Primrose Lodge.
Primrose Nature Reserve in Clitheroe is a restored urban wildlife site created from the historic Primrose Mill lodge.
The area was transformed between 2019 and 2022 into a public nature park with wetlands, woodland habitats, and walking paths.
It supports a wide range of wildlife, including fish, birds, bats, and invertebrates, thanks to habitat improvements and a large fish pass reconnecting Mearley Brook.
Today, it serves as both a biodiversity hotspot and a peaceful green space for the local community.
The site is located just a short distance from the multi-award-winning leisure destination, Holmes Mill, and Clitheroe town centre’s restaurants and shops and a host of other amenities.
