Paisley, with a population of 76,000, is the largest town and fifth largest urban area in Scotland after Glasgow ,Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee. The town is the administrative centre of Renfrewshire Council, and it acts as a regional hub for public services such as healthcare, education, and local administration. Both University of the West of Scotland and West College Scotland have their campus in the town.
Paisley is also a commuter town for Glasgow with bus and rail links
(Gilmour Street Railway Station is the fourth busiest in Scotland). Glasgow
Airport is currently connected to the town centre via a dedicated bus service.
The Paisley Centre is very well located on the High Street and benefits from a secondary entrance on New Street with a third, now used entrance on St Mirren Street.
